Birthing Services
Some pictures taken for out of town breeders so they could enjoy the birth of their cria also.
It's bound to cause a lot of worry when you have to go to work, to a show, on vacation or be away from home when your dam is due to have her cria.
We offer to help with that problem. Bring your pregnant dam to us and we'll take care of her as if she is one of our own.
Our birthing services include, but not limited to:
A phone call as soon as we confirm labor.
Pictures of labor and birth if possible.
Assessment of the cria after birth
Cria's umbilical cord care.
Daily weight and observation of cria nursing and eliminating.
Bottle feeding if necessary.
For minimum extra costs you can request:
Vaccination protocol of your choice.
Blood draw for IgG, BVD, DNA if requested.
Our vet is always on call if we suspect the dam or cria needs extra help.

Would you like some peace of mind while working full time?
Let me take some of that stress away from you. Bring your pregnant alpaca to my farm and I'll take care of her until she delivers your new cria. You will get a phone call as soon as I know she is in labor, and I'll take photos, if possible, of the birth so you will feel like you were here.

Assessment at birth.
Daily weighing and assessment.
If you leave your dam and cria here for 3 weeks after the birth we can re-breed your dam to one of our part Accoyo herdsires for $200 off this year's price of $700.
